Global warming is a consequence of the increased concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere. With CO2 removal technologies (CDR), the world will be able to reach net zero and stop global warming. RECOAL has developed a new efficient CDR technology providing a reliable, permanent solution that securely stores CO2 underground and can be scaled to millions of tonnes per year.The founding team of RECOAL includes Giovanni Alberti (CTO), Pirmin Aregger (CEO, Business Development) and Joachim Hanssler (COO) and has extensive experience in comparable ventures.According to a study by BCG from 2023, the demand for CDR translates into a ~$10 billion$40 billion market opportunity in 2030. RECOAL will sell CDR certificates to companies with hard to abate emissions and help them to reach net zero.
