At siloxene we are passionate about introducing a new class of silane-based, hybrid molecular building blocks to the world. We develop and commercialize these compounds as additives and enablers across industries. We also combine selected standard products from our portfolio with commodity polymer resins to create new hybrid raw materials with improved properties for coatings, adhesives, elastomers and polymer materials. Together with its founder Dr. Matthias Koebel, the team invented our proprietary Q-T polysiloxane platform at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa), part of the ETH domain. Realizing the technology’s potential early on, Dr. Koebel founded siloxene in fall 2020 with private and institutional investors. We started with a core team of three in January 2021, reached operational status quickly and grew to ten by year end. Today, we focus on gaining traction in large-volume commercial applications.
