By accessing or using startupvalleys.com (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Worldwide Scope

Startup Valleys is a worldwide directory of startup ecosystems. Companies, incubators, jobs, and events from any country are welcome — the Service is not limited to Europe. Anyone may browse, contribute, or apply, regardless of location.

2. Free to Browse

Startup Valleys is free to browse. Some features — notably promoted job posts beyond a free allowance and featured event tiers — are paid. Prices are shown at checkout and processed via Stripe.

3. Content Accuracy & No Warranty

All content is provided “as is” without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We curate and moderate listings carefully but cannot guarantee that every company, incubator, event, or job is up-to-date or correct. Always verify information with the source.

4. User Accounts

When you create an account you:

• Must provide a working email address
• Are responsible for keeping your password confidential
• Agree that one person / entity may only operate one account
• Accept that we may suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms

5. User Submissions

When you submit content (companies, incubators, events, jobs) you:

• Confirm that the information is accurate and up-to-date
• Have the right to share it (e.g. it’s your organisation, or publicly available information)
• Grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display the information on the Service
• Accept that we may edit, categorise, or remove submissions at our sole discretion

6. Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to:

• Submit false, misleading, or spam content
• Attempt to scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data outside our public API’s intended use
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the admin dashboard or any private data
• Use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose
• Submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others

7. Paid Posts & Refunds

Paid job posts and event tiers run for a fixed duration (60 days for job posts by default). Payments are final once the post is live. Refunds are issued only when the post was technically unusable due to an error on our side — email us within 7 days of publication to discuss.

8. Right to Remove Content

We reserve the right to remove any content at any time, without prior notice, for any reason — including inaccuracy, spam, complaints from third parties, or legal requirements. Paid posts removed for reasons unrelated to payment will be refunded proportionally.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service contains links to third-party websites (company pages, job postings, LinkedIn profiles, Lu.ma, Eventbrite, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites.

10. Intellectual Property

The code of startupvalleys.com is released under the MIT licence. Company and incubator logos and names are the property of their respective owners and are used under fair use for identification purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: loss of data, business opportunities, or reliance on inaccurate information.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction: Zurich, Switzerland.
