(1) Problem: The existence of a global and dense network of GNSS reference stations is a prerequisite for high-precision GNSS positioning to scale. Unfortunately, so far such an infrastructure is mainly available in industrialized countries. Africa is virtually undeveloped, and in many other developing and emerging countries coverage is patchy at best. (2) Solution: onocoy creates a three-sided platform between 1. station operators 2. data users (clients) and 3. onocoys data validation and provisioning. Using open standards and protocols (e.g. RTCM 3.x, NTRIP), data is received from existing and newly deployed reference stations and relayed to users. Being a community-powered/- owned (web3) sharing platform for GNSS ref. station data, onocoy assumes a unique position in the market.
