About Helvetic Padel Series

Helvetic Padel Series (HPS) is a growing Swiss SportTech startup dedicated to developing the padel community through competitions, technology, and innovative digital solutions.

We organize amateur padel leagues and are building our own digital ecosystem connecting players, clubs, and partners.

Our platform already includes league management, player registrations, rankings, and other features. We are also developing a court booking system and expanding our digital infrastructure.

We have an existing development team and are now looking for an experienced technical professional to help us take our platform to the next level.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer / Technical Lead to join us on a flexible, part-time freelance basis.

Your role will be to review and improve our existing technology, provide technical guidance, support ongoing development, and help us build a reliable, scalable platform.

This is not a project starting from scratch. We already have an operational platform and an existing development team.

Key Responsibilities

Review and audit our existing codebase and technical architecture.

Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, scalability, and code quality.

Support the completion and optimization of our court booking system.

Oversee and coordinate development activities with our existing remote team.

Contribute to new features across our website, mobile application, and backend.

Establish development best practices, documentation, and quality standards.

Help define and execute our long-term technical roadmap.

Ensure the platform remains maintainable, secure, and fully controlled by HPS.

Technical Skills

Strong experience with Node.js, JavaScript / TypeScript, and React.

Solid understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, and databases.

Experience with GitHub, cloud hosting, deployment, and DevOps practices.

Ability to review existing code and work effectively with remote developers.

Experience with booking systems, payment integrations, or mobile applications is a plus.

Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions to nontechnical founders.

Ideal Profile

4+ years of professional software development experience.

Previous experience as a senior developer, technical lead, or fractional CTO.

Independent, proactive, and comfortable working in a startup environment.

Based in Switzerland or Europe.

Interested in sports, technology, and early-stage startups.

Compensation & Collaboration

Our initial budget is approximately CHF 2,000 per month, with the expected time commitment and scope of responsibilities to be agreed together.
