What these numbers measure
This is a snapshot of active jobs at published companies in the Startup Valleys directory. It is not a census of Switzerland’s entire labour market. Imported and manually published roles are counted once per stored posting. City assignment uses the posting’s resolved valley; a multi-location role is counted once. Profession and language are inferred from titles and descriptions, so unclear cases remain unclassified. Salary coverage includes only an explicit currency, amount and pay period. Remote counts exclude hybrid roles. The first actual capture in each month is saved permanently; we do not reconstruct missing months or claim monthly averages.
